History
It started with pump shop data nobody could verify
In 2008, Ernest Leonard wanted a better way to serve his oil industry clients: software that would give operators accurate data out of the pump shops, so resources could be managed rather than assumed.
No such tool existed, so he brought in partner and software developer Dustin Hagen, who built Rod Pump Tracker that year, the company's first product, sold on a monthly subscription. In 2017, weTrack was introduced as a new platform that could serve a vast variety of businesses, extending well beyond oil into trucking, gas, well services, railway, and field support services.
